The roots of the Suzusan label lie in the Japanese town of Arimatsu, where the Murase family has been refining textiles using the traditional Shibori technique for over 100 years.

Now in their fifth generation, they regard Shibori as a cultural heritage that must be upheld with endless passion and commitment to perfection.

To halt the decline of the Shibori craft they are giving the technique more contemporary relevance through the development of new and innovative procedures and modern creations.
